The Ancient Voice of the Mother

The Ancient Voice of the Mother

I feel an immense force carrying me. She speaks to me in the quiet spaces between my breaths in an ancient voice I have known forever. I surrendered to Her, years ago, and lifetimes before. The tides are strong, stronger still, unstoppable, eternal. She is everywhere and always. Each day, in my sitting meditation practice, I empty myself more deeply to Her. Then I practice throughout the day, seeing all as Her Grace, pure consciousness arising.

As I work through the many layers, seen, unseen and unforeseen for this trip to the North Pole, I practice direct speed of body and open, quiet mind. Through emptiness, there is purification, a total surrender to that which already is and always has been…a vast, expansive perfection. I am not the doer. She is the guide, the life-force and the form through which all occurs. She is the healing we are to facilitate and the body for it. A voice beyond me, of us all, of the Mother, of I AM calls so that we may remember who we are, so that we may return home to the One.

  2. Parvati as long as I have known you this voice has been coming through you. This voice is ancient. Older than our plans to go to the North Pole. I stand beside you hearing you and the voice of our Earth. Thank you all you give.

  3. Parvati, you write so poetically and I can see that you are deeply committed to your spiritual path and to facilitate healing for the planet and to others by getting out of the way, by surrendering. As always, thank you for sharing. I love you.

  5. This was very poetic, I totally agree. The emptiness holds everything, in that no-thingness we learn everything there is. It may seems like a contradiction, seeing deeper it becomes obvious. Thus as you learn to listen to the silence you actually learn to listen to all sounds. As your mind becomes empty then your being becomes all knowing. Thus Lao Tzu wrote:

    "Without taking a step outdoors
    You know the whole world;
    Without taking a peep out the window
    You know the colour of the sky.

    The more you experience,
    The less you know.
    The sage wanders without knowing,
    Looks without seeing,
    Accomplishes without acting"

  6. Parvati, I struggle to completely surrender to Mother's ancient voice that calls me into the river, my ego fights every step I take towards the bank. I am afraid, yet I know this is the only way to be whole so as to truly make a positive difference in the world. I admire your courage. Please keep the blogs coming.

  7. Marie you are already in the River. There is no separation. The ego wants us to believe we are divided, but beyond that veil of illusions (which can feel like an insurmountable wall) you are already the River. She is You and you are She. Follow that which makes you feel rooted, vital and expansive, and She is there. All you have to do is be open, ready and willing. I will keep the blogs coming. They are a pleasure and I am delighted they serve. We are all connected.
